How to read Read the journey steps left to right; below each are the gate name and diagnostic question.
Below the ten steps, each has one gate and one diagnostic question; each later phase builds on the results of the one before. After S10, the next round starts again from S5. Training authorization at S3 is the merchant's choice, and real-time retrieval at S5 answers immediate questions, so each step is diagnosed by its own function.
